Challenge #17- Write yourself a letter
Today we will be writing a letter, not to a friend or family member but to ourselves. Choose a time in your future (6 months, 1 year, 5 years) & write what you want yourself to remember. It doesn’t matter if it’s positive or negative just get your feelings out in paper. Tell yourself what you hope to accomplish before you open it, what your dreams are, what is your favourite color, whatever it may be. Put it in an envelop dated for the determined time period and put it away until then. When the time comes open it. You can then see how far you have come.
Benefits- Improves gratitude, increases self awareness, helps with future planning, helps to appreciate time & helps cultivate memories.
Extra Challenge- Address the letter and give it to a loved one, tell them to mail it to you in the determined amount of time. Chances are it will be a welcomed surprise when you receive mail from yourself.
