Self care is a great part of developing a healthy mind & body. Today we are going to be focusing on 10 self care routines for a healthy mind.
I. BE SELFISH– Do something you enjoy, just for you. Put aside your duties, responsibilities, time constraints and just do one thing today to make yourself happy .
II. GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE– Is there something you always wanted to do but you just can’t seem to do it or a skill you wish you were better at? Just do it. Put aside the fear and the doubt and step outside of your comfort zone. Take a class, Climb a mountain whatever, you only live once you should make the most of it.
III. HAVE A MINI MEDITATION- – Give yourself one minute, at your desk, in your bed, in your car in the parking lot and just focus on your breathing and on your body.
IV. UNPLUG FOR ONE HOUR– I know I say this one quite frequently but too much technology is actually very counterproductive, your brain never gets to rest with all the light and dinging and constant stream of information.
V. TAKE A NEW ROUTE– Small changes in your routine can help create new neuropathways in the brain. So on your way to work or the store or an appointment, take a different route and shake up your routine a bit.
Next Sunday will be focused on self-care for your body.
