So now you know how to not procrastinate, set goals and make to-do lists but sometimes there is just not enough time in the day that’s what leads us to today’s topics which is just say no.
This is a hard one since most people spend their days trying to make everybody else happy but if you take on everything you need to do, everything you want to do and on top of that everything that everyone else wants you to do you will just run out of time.
I found a great post online about how to say no without guilt CLICK HERE to read
Of course i’m not saying say no all the time but sometimes you just don’t have the time and that is okay. you don’t want to burn yourself out by focusing too much on everyone else and not enough on yourself.
Saying no is not a problem neither is saying yes it’s just important to know when to say yes and when to say no. For the following questions go in order if the answer is maybe at any point say no.
- Will it be worth my time (if not say no)
- Do I have time to do it (if not say no)
- Do I have the skills (if not say no)
- Will saying yes interfere with my other commitments (If yes say no)
- Do I want to do it (if no say no)
If you make it to 5 and the answer is yes do it, otherwise nicely decline. Putting yourself first is not a flaw it’s a skill that takes time to get used to.
